Google Apologizes On Twitter For De-Indexing Bug And Claims To Solve The Issue

Finally relief for all the websites on google who were facing indexing bug. Google apologizes on Twitter and claims to solve the issue.

After almost a week, on 11 April 2019 Google informed its users that it has resolved the de-index problem which was affecting the ranking of the websites.

In the tweet Google Wrote:
The indexing issue has now been fully resolved. We apologize for the inconvenience. We appreciate your patience as we restored normal operation.”

The issue was registered on April 4th when the pages on Google were dropped off from the search index. 3 Days Later, Google told its users that the problem has been fixed but on the very next day they said that it is not completely resolved.

In the meanwhile, when the process was on, Google updated its users on a regular basis and assured them about fully resolving the issue.

The de-indexing issue affected many sites on Google leading to loss of traffic, conversion, and ranking. Though, even now the cause of de-indexing is unknown as Google didn’t specify what went wrong.
