WhatsApp To Launch Dark Mode and Biometric Feature For Android User

The news of WhatsApp’s Dark mode had been doing the rounds since long now and we have a glimpse of the how the dark mode would look like.

The testing of dark mode has been done in beta for Android and its features are now available in WhatsApp beta update 2.19.47 for Android user. The news broke out after WABetaInfo shared a screenshot of this theme. The dark mode has been implemented in the settings menu of the WhatsApp.As per the screenshots shared by WABetaInfo, Whatsapp has updated a dark grey colour in its background, the icons and headings have been highlighted by green colour and the subtexts with white colour. It is expected that WhatsApp could be introducing the dark mode feature very soon for all the users.

In order to make WhatsApp more secure, it is planning for biometric authentication for Android users. It will enable the user to lock or unlock the App through the fingerprint sensor. If WhatsApp does not recognise fingerprint after too many failed attempts, Whatsapp would be locked for some minutes. The feature could be enabled from Setting- Accounts-Privacy.
