India wins the second ODI against Australia at Nagpur today with 8 runs. Though it was a nail-biting contest, brilliant performance by Indian bowler and Kohli’s stunning knock of 116 runs helped defeat Australia. Australia was all out at 242 in 50 overs, India taking a 2-0 lead in the series! India also registered their 500th win in ODI format.
Indian Cricket fans have one more reason to celebrate apart from winning the second ODI against Australia. Virat Kohli, the captain of Indian cricket team has made a special mark by becoming the second male player after Sachin Tendulkar ever to hit 40 ODI centuries in the International cricket.
Virat Kohli is of the finest batsman who has achieved this milestone in just 216 innings. Sachin Tendulkar leads the ODI hundred charts with 49 centuries but we are very sure that Virat Kohli will be able to break his record too. He has also become the fastest player to score 9000 international runs as a captain in just 159 innings. Congratulations Captain!
